HISTORY

Originally located in Saint-Jean-de-Muzols (on the other side of the Rhône River, in the Ardèche), the winery was then transferred to Louis and Madeleine HABRARD’s property in Gervans. It is at Louis’ and Madeleine’s, that Marie-Thérèse CROZE (a name befitting her destiny) decided to do the wine harvest in 1965. And so it was, between the vines, that she met Marcel, one of the family’s 5 sons. They married in 1968 and settled down a few metres away in an old large rented house.

In 1985, they decided to build a new winery very close by to improve working conditions, Laurent, one of their four children, moved to the domain in 1998. He in turn, developed the winery, building a vinification cellar and bottle cellar. In 2006, a happy event took place within the domain’s vinification vats : Our first Saint-Joseph red wine was born. From then on, we could offer wine lovers the taste of a wine from a neighbouring appellation, one of which we’d had no experience until then. Even though the new plot of vines is fairly small, its excellent exposure and top quality “terroir” enable us to harvest and vinify grapes of remarkable quality.
